The event will also include complimentary Narcan (naloxone) training, providing participants with practical knowledge on recognizing and responding to an opioid overdose. Whether you're a business leader, community member, or simply interested in learning a potentially lifesaving skill, this training is a valuable resource.

Riverbend's Narcan (naloxone) training equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. These free, interactive trainings are designed for anyone and provide practical, hands-on education that can help save lives.

Participants will learn:

How to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.
The steps to take during an overdose emergency, including calling 911 and providing appropriate care.
How to safely administer Narcan (naloxone) nasal spray.
What to do after Narcan has been administered while waiting for emergency medical services.
How harm reduction strategies and community preparedness help prevent overdose deaths and connect individuals to treatment and recovery resources.

As part of Riverbend's broader harm reduction mission, these trainings help reduce stigma, increase community awareness, and empower people to act confidently in an emergency. Whether you're a concerned family member, educator, employer, first responder, or community volunteer, Narcan training provides the skills needed to potentially save a life and serve as a bridge to recovery.
