The Employer Edge: Workforce Insights in 30 Minutes

The partnership between MassHire Lowell Career Center and Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce (GLCC) aims to empower local businesses with the knowledge and resources needed to develop a robust and competitive workforce. By collaborating, we seek to provide businesses with practical insights and strategies for leveraging workforce development programs, grants, and incentives. This series of workshops will strengthen the local economy and enhance the success of businesses in Greater Lowell.
 

1. Workforce Training Grants: Unlocking Funding to Upskill Your Workforce (March 10th)
   Description: This session will guide businesses through the process of accessing Workforce Training Grants to upskill their employees. Attendees will learn about grant eligibility, application procedures, and strategies for maximizing the benefits of these funds to enhance their workforce's productivity and skills.
2. Workforce Tax Credits: Saving While Strengthening Your Team (March 31st)
   Description: This workshop will educate participants on various workforce tax credit programs, including the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and other incentives for hiring and retaining employees from target groups. Businesses will learn how to take advantage of these opportunities to reduce costs while supporting community employment initiatives.
3. Apprenticeships: Building Your Workforce of Tomorrow (April 7th)
   Description: Explore the benefits of establishing apprenticeship programs to develop a pipeline of skilled talent. This session will provide step-by-step guidance on creating, implementing, and managing apprenticeship programs tailored to your industry, while highlighting resources and partnerships available to support these efforts.
