Are you a film lover or looking for a fun night out? Come to the DARE to Imag9ne International Film Festival’s special event, "Lowell Films Baby!" We’re showcasing a night of short films and a short documentary at the cozy Dragonfly Cafe in Lowell, MA.

Mayor of Lowell – This short documentary chronicles the culture and arts of Cambodian Americans and the Lowell, MA community through the eyes of Sokhary Chau, the first Cambodian American Mayor in the United States. Through this unique story that showcases the best of Lowell—immigrant success, assimilation, history, and the development of the arts—we see a man born into a war-torn country who comes to America to be a first-in-the-nation leader.

Transference – After an embarrassing rejection from the girl of his dreams, Marcel becomes obsessed with a replicated AI version of her. Causing him to spiral deeper into a VR fantasy he’s constructed for himself.

Bailando - A self-proclaimed ladies' man falls for his sister's dance instructor and must develop the confidence to dance bachata and humble his ego to win her heart.

Lowell Life – When a photographer lands the opportunity of a lifetime to shoot at New York Fashion Week, disaster strikes and his camera breaks. Desperate for cash to fix it, he turns to his drug-dealing friend, Vic, but one favor spirals into chaos, threatening to cost him more than just his big break.
